Star Wars has a bit of a false ending when they rescue the princess. but they fixed it by having her explicitly tell Han “it isn’t over yet.” plus that scene set up Han’s climax.
Butch Cassidy had that chase in the middle, possibly the best chase ever, so to top it off they assembled an entire army to gun them down. which gave one of my all time favorite last lines - “For a moment there I thought we were in trouble.”
